The Heart Trembles ✨

There are moments sometimes in the quiet of the night, sometimes in the middle of a loud thought — when emotion floods the heart too fast, too heavy. Like rain that arrives before you can find shelter. It stings. It soaks everything. And for a moment, it feels like you’ll drown.

You try to hold yourself together. But the ache comes from somewhere deeper than logic, deeper than words. It's not just about loneliness. It’s the feeling of being unseen, unheard  like you’ve been calling out to the stars, but they’ve gone silent.

But somehow, amid that storm, something unexpected happens.

A softness finds its way in.

Not from the world.
Not from people.

But from the One who hears the unheard, sees the unseen, and understands what even you can’t explain.

It’s strange, how you can be shaking with rage, hurt, or fear and suddenly, after a sujood (prostration) or a few whispered duas (supplications) -- there’s silence. A stillness in the soul. Like Allah Himself placed His mercy like a blanket around your shaking spirit.

And then sometimes… you find that someone you love hasn’t let go either.

Even if words were sharp.
Even if distance widened.
Even if you broke down.

There’s a string , invisible, but anchored in something sacred. Maybe in prayer. Maybe in destiny. Maybe in something only Allah knows.

It’s not about being perfect. It’s about being real , overwhelmed, flawed, fragile , but still returning. To prayer. To patience. To faith. To love.

So if your heart is tired, if you feel like you're losing grip, know this:

You are not going unnoticed.
You are not unheld.

You are being taught how deep love can go , not just human love, but divine. The kind that catches you when you fall, and gently guides you back to yourself.

And maybe, just maybe, the one your soul aches for… was also aching for you.

Not every attachment is a mistake. Some are lessons. Some are gifts. Some are du'as wrapped in trials. Some are still unfolding.

There are moments in life that feel like standing at the very edge of a cliff , trembling, breathless, unsure. The wind pulls you forward, the heart begs you to jump, but somewhere deep within, your soul screams for a hand to hold you back.

Sometimes, it’s love that draws us to the edge.
Not the kind sung about in songs or written in glittery poetry  but the kind that consumes the heart entirely. That makes you forget boundaries. That makes disobedience feel like an understandable mistake. That makes the fall feel worth it.

Until suddenly  reality crashes in.

And with it comes fear.

Not just fear of loss…
But fear of losing him.
Fear of losing the divine mercy that wraps around you every day — quietly, gently, endlessly.
Fear of disappointing the One who sees every flicker of your heart.

It hits like a tidal wave.

Your hands shake. Your breath breaks. Your chest burns. You cry , not from shame alone , but from the sheer terror of stepping away from your Lord. And losing what you've been begging for. The heart that almost slipped into fire trembles at the heat, and you find yourself weeping, calling out for protection… from yourself.

And sometimes… if Allah wills… there’s someone there.
Someone who doesn’t let you fall.
Someone who holds your shaking body, understands your spiraling thoughts, and instead of pulling you deeper into the dark  walks with you back to light, calms you down, becomes your anchor.

Softly, without judgment.
With eyes full of understanding.
With a voice that reminds you what’s right.

And you’re reminded, love is not meant to drag you away from Allah.

Real love is supposed to bring you closer to Him.

Closer to dignity.
To protection.
To boundaries that preserve your soul, not chain you with fear and guillt.

That moment, that terrifying, breathless, red-eyed, tear-stained moment, becomes a turning point.

A reminder that the greatest love isn’t reckless.
It’s careful. It’s sacred. It’s built on fear of Allah and hope in His mercy.

And if it is written, it will not demand sin.
It will wait. It will purify. It will return , better, softer, protected by prayer.

So if you’ve ever found yourself at the edge -> know that you're not alone.
And if you’ve ever been pulled back -> thank Allah. A thousand times.
For giving you strength, clarity, and someone who chooses taqwa with you over temptation.

Because that…
is not just love.
That’s worship dressed in devotion.

Hold on to Allah. Hold on to softness. Let the storm pass through you.
The string will remain  whatever is written for your heart, will find its way back.
